Developing People
Ensuring lasting effects
How do we make it last?
In addition to our approach and method, we have also developed tools and practices to ensure the lasting effect of our work.
Follow Up:
Two weeks after the final session of every programme, public or In-house, each participant is contacted individually by telephone. There are three reasons for this:- To find out how the participants are getting on with the various directions and practices and to provide further assistance and support if necessary.
- To respond to any questions or difficulties that may have come up in light of their experience.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of the programme.
Following this we provide a report to the client with our observations and recommendations.
There is no additional charge for this service.
Refresh & Build Programmes
After an In-company programme has been completed, the client often requests that we revisit after a few months, sometimes even a year, to provide a 'Refresh & Build' programme. This consists of refreshing the previous material, building on it and taking it further. Other times we are called back to address any issues that may have arisen in our absence. Sometimes this takes the form of one-2-one coaching sessions so that we can fully serve the individual needs of each person. Other times it is in the form of a Refresh & Build session for the group.Language
PSM puts a name on things that were previously very difficult for people to discuss, pinpoint, or even acknowledge. By understanding specific concepts and naming them, we introduce a bench mark for behaviour and communication. This creates a neutral platform and allows the client to continue a dialogue once PSM has left. From conducting feedback reports, we discovered that one of the most common benefits our clients find is their new language. A report conducted by a UK consulting firm on the effectiveness of PSM’s training with a large multinational organisation, found that there was evidence suggesting that a "management language" had begun to emerge among the staff, indicating that the PSM programme was becoming integral to the company culture. We have developed certain practices and exercises that help our clients stay focused and remain motivated to continue the development process such as the PSM Personalised Development Monitoring System™. This is a system created by PSM which assists each individual to monitor and work on their own specific areas of development.
